about
Designer. Educator. Curious human.
I’m Ashleigh Peat, a multidisciplinary designer and creative technologist with a background spanning design, education, photography, digital making, and emerging technology.
For much of my career, I worked internationally in design and technology education. Teaching took me across countries, cultures, classrooms, workshops, and technologies—and taught me as much about observation, communication, adaptability, and problem-solving as it did about design.
My work rarely stays neatly inside one discipline. I might approach a problem through graphic design, photography, UX, writing, prototyping, systems thinking, or AI. What connects those things is curiosity: noticing what is happening, asking why, understanding the people involved, and experimenting with what might work better.
I’m particularly interested in the relationship between people and technology. I believe technology should expand what people are capable of rather than remove them from the creative process. That idea shapes how I think about design, AI, education, and the tools we build.
After years of helping other people develop ideas, test possibilities, and make things, I’m bringing that same process more deliberately into my own creative practice—building, writing, designing, experimenting, and seeing where those connections lead.
